Accessibility statement
Accessibility of the ITERA Informatics website and portal (WCAG 2.2 AA).
The Undergraduate Program of Informatics at ITERA aims to make this website and the Informatics Portal usable by everyone, including people with visual, hearing, physical, and cognitive disabilities. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Clear page structure (nested headings, landmarks); every menu and button works with a keyboard and shows a visible focus indicator.
- Text alternatives for images, a text version of the admissions brochure, and a description for every video.
- Text colour contrast is checked, including the portal's dark theme, and pages read without sideways scrolling on a 360-pixel screen.
- Automated accessibility checks (axe, WCAG 2.2 AA) run on every change to the website and portal.
- Accessibility tools (the round button on the right edge of the screen): text size, colour and contrast (grayscale, high contrast, negative contrast, light background), a readable font, wider text spacing, underlined links, and reduced motion. Your choices are saved in your browser and apply to every page. These tools are display preferences only; your screen reader and device settings remain supported.
Known limitations
- Some videos do not yet have human-reviewed captions.
- The interactive campus map needs WebGL, and some building floor plans are still schematic. The same list of buildings, floors, and rooms is available as text in the map panel.
- Some older PDF documents are not yet fully readable by screen readers.
Services for students with disabilities
In line with Law No. 8 of 2016 on Persons with Disabilities and Ministerial Regulation No. 48 of 2023 on Reasonable Accommodation, ITERA has a Disability Services Unit (ULD). Students and applicants who need accommodation in classes, exams, or academic services can contact ITERA's ULD on Instagram @layanandisabilitas_itera, or contact the program, and we will help connect them with ITERA's ULD.
Report a problem
If part of the website or portal is hard to use, email informatika@itera.ac.id with the subject "Accessibility". Tell us the page, the problem, and the device or assistive technology you use. We will reply within five working days.
