Credit transfer and recognition

Recognition of learning outside the study program as course grades.

Two recognition paths

  • Credit transfer

    For off-campus programmes planned in advance, such as internships or independent studies. Students propose the activity and its conversion scheme before leaving, report during the activity, then request the grade conversion.

  • Recognition

    For activities already completed, such as research, organisational leadership, teaching assistance, or competition achievements. Students submit supporting documents, which are assessed with the rubric of the outside-programme course (MLPS).

Both paths end with a summary reported by the Curriculum Coordinator, approved by the Study Program Coordinator, and entered into the academic system.

Students may study outside the study programme through Courses Outside the Study Programme (Mata Kuliah Luar Program Studi, MLPS), as regulated by ITERA Rector Regulation No. 12 of 2025. MLPS is the recognition of learning in the form of coursework or student activities that aims to enrich knowledge, insight and diversity and to widen academic networks. The learning outcomes of MLPS are at least equivalent to the ITERA learning outcomes (CPL). Activities that can be recognised as MLPS include courses in other study programmes or faculties, courses at other universities in student exchange programmes, internships, independent study, research, community service or humanitarian activities, entrepreneurship, student organisations, laboratory or course assistantships, competitions and training. These activities are recognised through the MLPS courses in Table 11.1. The credit weight of each course follows the Appendix to ITERA Rector Regulation No. 12 of 2025. Besides MLPS, the programme curriculum also provides off-campus learning experience through the Internship (Praktik Kerja Lapangan, 2 SKS) and Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata, 2 SKS) courses.

Recognition schemes

  • Conversion of activities outside the study programme (MLPS)

    Scope
    Magang, studi independen, penelitian, kegiatan sosial dan pengabdian, kewirausahaan, organisasi, asistensi, perlombaan, pelatihan, serta mata kuliah lintas program studi atau perguruan tinggi

    SKS kurikulum lama diakui dan kekurangannya diambil dari kurikulum baru sesuai ketentuan pada Tabel 11.3, dengan masa transisi paling lama dua tahun
