Digital Watermarking

  • 2025 Curriculum

Description

This course prepares students to explain the concepts and types of digital watermarking for protecting the integrity and copyright of multimedia content, implement watermarking techniques in the spatial and transform domains, and evaluate the robustness of watermarks against attacks. Study materials: Algorithmic Foundations (AL), Mathematical and Statistical Foundations (MSF), Security (SEC).

Topics

  1. Concepts and types of digital watermarking
  2. Representation of digital images, audio and video
  3. Spatial-domain watermarking
  4. Transform-domain watermarking
  5. Watermarking for content integrity and authentication
  6. Attacks on watermarks and robustness testing
  7. Quality and robustness evaluation metrics for watermarks

Course Learning Outcomes (CLO)
